ABOUT MORSE CODE: -

Morse code is a system of communication developed by “Samuel Finley Breese Morse” (April 27, 1791 – April 2, 1872) that uses a series of dots and dashes to relay coded messages. Though it was originally developed as a way of communicating over telegraph lines, but Morse code is still used today by Amateur radio enthusiasts, modern use continues in Automatic Transmitter Identification System to identify uplink sources of analogue satellite transmissions and also useful for sending urgent distress signals in all emergency situations.

Learning Morse code isn’t particularly difficult at all...! it does require study and dedication like any other language, clinical research provides strong evidence that Morse Code learning leads to a higher cognitive capability and improves neurodevelopmental function like concept acquisition, systematic decision making, evaluative thinking etc. would say another benefit from learning Morse code.

Once you have learned the meaning of the basic signals, you can begin writing and translating messages of your own it is something that is relatively easy to pick up,

It is a great feeling to master something new. Learning in itself is a great thing to practice, so if you find a subject you enjoy, just go for it and keep learning!”

Dear Parents, Teachers and Students:

Do you want to inculcate scientific hobbies in your kids? Is it not the time to learn and teach a bit of science? Especially basic electronics and communication skills to your kids/students through scientific games?

Then, this scientific toy is the one for you. It helps to learn Morse code in an easy and fun manner. There are thousands of people who communicate with each other using Morse code and Radio signals. These hobbyists are called HAMs or amateur radio operators.

This hobby introduces you to a new world of communication. When all communication fails, HAM radio communication comes into the picture. For HAMs it is one world and one language. And that language is Morse Code.

The Morse Code can be learnt easily through this scientific toy. The Morse code can be learnt with lots of fun.

Children above 12 years of age can appear for an exam conducted by WPC (Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing of the Department of Telecommunications) to become a licensed HAM. You may visit the URL https://dot.gov.in for further details in this regard.

What is so fun about HAM radio?

Amateur Radio (HAM radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use HAM radio to talk across town, around the world, or even to space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It is fun, social, and educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need.

This is our small effort to popularize and bring awareness of HAM radio, especially to parents, teachers and students
